About Rachel

I graduated from Staffordshire University in 2013 with a 2:1 honours degree in Creative Writing. I currently work as a Digital Content Executive for spottydog communications, following 11 months as a PR, Communications and Social Media Executive for the same company.

I began video editing over ten years ago, and have spent the years improving my skills, becoming familiar with different editing software, such as Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere, as well as learning to film video footage myself and coming up with concepts and storyboards in a professional capacity.

During my time at spottydog communications I have worked across a variety of sectors, for a number of clients, including Mitchells & Butlers and Gateley Plc. as well as being responsible for the creation of vlog content on the spottydog TV YouTube channel.

In addition to my video work, my role as a digital content executive sees me writing copy, designing graphics and gifs, and managing client’s social media pages.

Outside of my professional work, I create monthly vlog-style videos as part of the ‘Document Your Life’ project, which enables me to practise my camera work and video editing.

My portfolio is a collection of both my personal and professional creative endeavours, as an example of the work I’m capable of, as well as a place for me to review my progress over the years. Feel free to take a look around, or get in touch.
